We know that choosing to donate is a big decision, and we don't take a single contribution for granted. Every donation helps us support our communities, reduce HIV and STI transmission, and improve health outcomes for people living with HIV. If you have any questions, we're here to help.
Each generous donation can support our mission in a variety of ways. Below are some examples of how we use donations.
- $30 can provide a food voucher to someone in need
- $50 can subsidise essential services such as utilities
- $100 can help provide emergency accommodation
- $200 can assist with medication costs
- $500 can support someone returning to study
Yes! You can make a general donation, support people living with HIV via the David Williams Fund, help fund LGBTIQ Women’s Health, donate to Thorne Harbour Country, or sponsor our free counselling services.
There are three main types of bequests you can leave in your will:
- Residual: Funds left over after all other provisions have been made
- Percentage: A percentage of your estate
- Specific: A fixed sum from your estate
You could also consider leaving an item of value, such as a property or work of art.
Below is our suggested wording for wills.
"I give (free of any relevant duties): [Choose and insert the appropriate statement from the list below]
- The whole of my estate
- [insert number] percentage of my estate
- The residue of my estate
- The sum of $ [insert the value of your gift in cash]
to Thorne Harbour Health Limited, 200 Hoddle Street, Abbotsford 3067, for its general purposes. The receipt of the treasurer, secretary or public officer for the time being of Thorne Harbour Health Ltd is an absolute discharge to my Trustee or Executor."
